Spencer Blasdale
Chief Program Officer
Spencer is the Chief Program Officer at The Calculus Project. In this role he is responsible for overseeing TCP programs and ensuring fidelity to the TCP model, managing the Programs Team, supporting the growth and scale of TCP as an organization, and providing direct support and thought-partnership to the CEO.
Spencer has spent the past 30+ years serving students, families and communities as an educator and leader. Prior to TCP Spencer served as Executive Director at the Academy of the Pacific Rim Charter Public School, an urban public school with 545 students in grades 5-12 with a mission to “empower students of all racial and ethnic backgrounds to achieve their full intellectual and social potential.” Prior to this role he served for nine yeast as Chief Executive Officer of SchoolWorks, an educational consulting company working with schools and districts across the country with the mission of “advancing all aspects of student learning and well-being by building the capacity of educators and educational institutions to assess, plan for, and achieve student success.” His career began with a teaching internship at The Park School in Brookline, Massachusetts and has worked as a teacher, administrator and service partner to district schools in Chicago and Boston. Spencer recently served as Board Chair of the Charlie Sposato Graduate School of Education and as a Board member of Boston Day and Evening Academy, an alternative high school in Roxbury, Massachusetts, designed to serve overage and/or undercredited students.
