Renee Chandonnet is a dynamic leader with more than 25 years of experience guiding cross-functional teams in strategic planning, education reform, and international development. As Principal Advisor at Mott MacDonald, she has successfully led large-scale programs for clients such as USAID and the Millennium Challenge Corporation, overseeing multi-country initiatives that advance learning outcomes for students, worldwide.

Renee is recognized for her expertise in designing responsive data collection systems, building partnerships, and delivering actionable insights that drive evidence-based reforms. She has managed multimillion-dollar projects, including early grade reading programs in Nigeria and technical advisory work spanning nine low-income countries. Her leadership has consistently generated strong financial performance while improving educational equity and student success.

Her career highlights include securing a $250,000 Gates Foundation grant to expand The Calculus Project, advancing opportunities for Black, Latinx, and low-income students in advanced mathematics, and directing survey services for state education departments and large school districts across the United States.

With a background in teaching and a foundation in Teach for America, Renee brings both practitioner and strategic perspectives to her work. She holds a B.A. in Architecture and American Studies from Wellesley College and continues to be committed to using research, collaboration, and innovation to strengthen education systems and empower communities.
